In each of the 9 grids you will see two numbers and this January is a special month, where the numbers double up in each grid! This makes some sectors extremely lucky while others are doubly dangerous!
The number on the upper left represents the annual star (red = afflictive, blue = auspicious) and the black number in the bottom right represents the monthly star. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend to take one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and another one from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home.
Take particular note of the location of your front door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most.
SOUTHEAST (2/2)
The double Illness Star is quite a threat and can cause serious kidney problems and other illnesses. Those born in the Years of the Dragon and Snake need to be especially careful. Pregnant women should avoid this sector and definitely not sleep in the SE as there are dangers of miscarriage. Display a Bejewelled Garuda or a Garuda Wu Lou to subdue the illness vibes.
The double 2 might also bring serious injuries caused by accidents. Hence, please drive carefully and be especially vigilant while you are on the road. You can place Six Peacock Feathers in your car for protection against accidents but nothing beats that extra bit of care and foresighted driving!
SOUTH (7/7)
The No 7 is a violent star and having this combination of the double 7 makes their effect doubly dangerous. They can bring fighting, violence and robbery of the worst kind! Male family members are the worst affected, as well as those born in the Year of the Horse. Those with bedrooms or front doors in the South should avoid overworking this month and be very careful when working with metal objects. Place an Anti-Burglary Lumi Tile or an Anti-Burglary Totem here to suppress the dangerous energies. If your main door is in the South, place a pair of Blue Rhinos flanking your entrance to protect against burglary.
There is also a risk of heart problems.
SOUTHWEST (9/9)
There are indications of fame and good news for matriarchs and those living in the SW. Career luck is good and opportunities for promotions at work will present themselves. Romance and relationships go smoothly too.
To activate for love, place a pair of Mandarin Ducks or Love Birds here, while King Gesar will encourage great good fortune to manifest. However, don’t overdo it and activate this area with too much fire energy as this might get out of control and could then lead to an accident caused by fire!
EAST (1/1)
The double 1 in the East brings good career and income luck, particularly to those born in the Year of the Rabbit. Breakthroughs will come to you, especially if you work in research and development or if you are learning a new skill.
If you haven’t already done so, install a water feature in your East to boost your wealth luck (but not if this is a bedroom). If you would like to boost your career luck, display a Brass Kwan Kung in your East or on your desk, or hang a mountain painting behind your work desk. This will give you solid support and an additional edge in negotiations.
However, there is also a possibility of mishaps caused by excessive drinking, so it will be wise to avoid having too much alcohol this month.
CENTRE (3/3)
Oh dear. This will be a month of arguments and disagreements for all family members. If the centre of your home is a large open space, the conflicts could get even more serious. Small quarrels could lead to major fights and even legal problems. Keep this area quiet and definitely do NOT play music or switch on the TV if it is located in the centre of your home.
There is also danger of gossip, slander and armed robbery. Place a red lamp or strong fire energy to control this bad energy.
WEST (5/5)
Another extremely dangerous combination which could even be life threatening, especially to the youngest daughter. Female family members are advised to carry a Heart Sutra Pillar Amulet at all times this month and keep one under their pillow if their bedroom is located in the West to protect them from serious illness or accidents. In addition, place two Golden Mantra Pillars or a Bejewelled Dorje to subdue the double 5 stars. Six Peacock Feathers in the car will help protect you from dangers and accidents while driving.
NORTHEAST (6/6)
The NE is doubly lucky this month with the stars promising excellent money luck from heaven or an unexpected windfall. To activate these wonderful stars, place gold coins in the NE of your living room. Those with main doors in the NE can display a figure of the Jade Emperor with Windchime near their entrance to symbolize wealth having entered your home. Spend more time in this area if you can, it will bring business success and career progress.
Look around your NE and make sure you don’t have too much metal elements here as that might be harmful.
NORTH (8/8)
The North is no doubt the luckiest area this month, being home to the auspicious double 8 stars which bring serious wealth and money luck. Those with bedrooms or front doors in the North will be particularly lucky as well as those born in the Year of the Rat. The double 8 is also especially good for accumulating properties, so this is a good time to increase your real estate portfolio.
Spend more time in the North this month to harness its wonderful energies, and activate those with a White Dzambhala Plaque. You can also display a Wealth Ship (or several if you have!) filled with gold and diamonds sailing into your home from the North direction.
NORTHWEST (4/4)
Romance is in the air for those staying in the NW, as the stars make you very attractive to the opposite sex. If you are looking for love, activate the NW of your living room and/or bedroom with a Dragon & Phoenix figure or two Love Birds. You can also wear an 18k Gold Double Happiness Pendant. But make sure you do not have too much water here as that could lead to a sex scandal involving third parties.
Students will also benefit greatly from the stars and will do well in exams and academic ventures. If you wish to enhance study luck for your children, place a Crystal Globe in the NW.
