In each of the 9 grids you will see two numbers. The number on the upper left represents the annual star (red = afflictive, blue = auspicious) and the black number in the bottom right represents the monthly star. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend to take one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and another one from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window. These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home.
Take particular note of the location of your front door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most.
SOUTHEAST (9/1)
There will be great opportunities for those born in the Years of the Dragon and the Snake as the stars form a “Sum of Ten” which is incredibly auspicious. This means wonderful support for ambitious people, opportunities to move up the career ladder, new clients for businessmen and women, fame luck for entertainers, and general great good fortune.
If you wish to enhance your career luck, place a Dragon Baton or a Dragon Ru Yi on your desk. You can also carry the White Dzambhala Mirror to attract good fortune.
However, there is danger of illness that might affect the liver. Take care not to over-activate the 9/1 combination of stars as excessive energy will overwhelm the auspicious chi. Keep it balanced. Spending time in your SE will be excellent though.
SOUTH (5/6)
This could well turn out to be a prosperous month for those with bedrooms or main doors in the SOUTH. The monthly No 6 Star brings speculative luck and unexpected windfalls are possible.
To enhance, display a figure of Qui Ren here. Those born in the Year of the Horse will also benefit from carrrying a Qui Ren talisman.
You can also boost your personal good fortune by wearing King Gesar Mantra Rings.
However, there is danger of health problems which can lead to mental stress and frustration.
SOUTHWEST (7/8)
The monthly Wealth Star boosts the luck of the SW this month and will bring possibilities to earn more money if you can rise above your competition.

Display a 9 Dragon Mural and a Flying Dragon windchime to enhance this fabulous luck.
Business luck is great; place a God of Wealth sitting on a Tiger and a Wish Fulfilling 3-legged Toad in your office to enhance.
Make the most of the fabulous energy in your EAST by organsing dinner parties and social events held there.
Misunderstandings between young and old might occur; please choose your words carefully to avoid arguments.
CENTRE (1/2)
The monthly Illness Star in the Centre might cause problems for everyone in your household, especially stomach problems. It is important to watch what you eat and avoid unhealthy foods.
Display a Kuan Yin with Garuda or a Garuda Wu Lou in your Centre to protect the family from illness and accidents. Those who are particularly susceptible to the illness vibes should also place a Medicine Buddha plaque or another Wu Lou on their bedside table.
There are conflicting elements which might cause a setback in your career. To boost your career luck place a Dragon Tortoise in your Centre.
Marital problems are on the cards as well as danger of miscarriage. Pregnant ladies and elderly people should avoid this sector.
WEST (3/4)
If you have any exams coming up you are in luck as the monthly No 4 Star can help you achieve good results. Place a Crystal Point with Wisdom Mantra or the Bejewelled Louhan on your desk to boost your luck. The energies are excellent for students and writers as well as those in creative/artistic professions.
However, the excessive wood energy can bring serious miscommunications between family members. There is also danger of a third party causing a romantic scandal. NORTHEAST (4/5)
The No 5 Misfortune Star is moving into the NE this month, bringing loss and general bad luck to those staying here. Keep this area as quiet as possible this month. If this is your main entrance, try to use another entrance if you can.
Display a Triple 5 Element Pagoda in your NE to subdue the Misfortune Star.
The energy is especially unfavourable for males.
The No 5 Star also has a negative effect on education luck, which means students and writers will find they are lacking in productivity and opportunities to excel. In addition, there is danger of injuries to the stomach and mouth. It is advisable to avoid rough sports.
Subdue the negative energy by wearing an OM or a HUM pendant or amulet.
NORTH (6/7)
The monthly No 7 Star brings danger of violence and robbery, which is made even worse by the excessive metal energy in the NORTH. Keep sharp objects away from this area to avoid accidental injuries. Remove any windchimes you might have hanging here this month and don’t have any other noisy energizers here.
Instead, place a Rhino with Elephant in Natural Habitat or an Anti-Burglary lumi tile in the NORTH for protection. A water feature would also be an excellent remedy (but not in a bedroom). If you spend a lot of time driving, place Six Peacock Feathers in your car.
Avoid staying out late and minimize travel this month as much as you can.
NORTHWEST (2/3)
The NW is another area that suffers from clashing elements and an unfortunate combination of stars this month, causing real problems in financial matters. Place a Red Tara Lamp or display a Laughing Buddha as a cure.
The argumentative No 3 Star causes tension and stress, putting a severe strain on marriages and close relationships, especially for those whose bedroom is located in the NW.
Display the Double Happiness Symbol to improve the situation. Keep this area quiet and do not hang any windchimes here this month. Avoiding arguments will go a long way to keep the peace. Remember that winning energies are not on your side at the moment.
