Flying Stars Update – January 2018

6th January 2018 – 3rd February 2018

In each of the 9 grids you will see two numbers. The number on the upper left represents the annual star (red = afflictive, blue = auspicious) and the black number in the bottom right represents the monthly star. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend to take one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and another one from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window. These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home.

Take particular note of the location of your front door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most.

 January 2018 Flying Stars chart

The monthly 5 Yellow is a pain wherever it occurs, but this month it will be even worse because the fire element of the annual No 9 Star enhances the Five Yellow. There might be illness and serious losses.

Place a large 5 Element Pagoda and the new Bejewelled Guru Rinpoche Mansion in your SE to subdue the bad energy.

Dissatisfaction and general unhappiness will trouble those staying in the SE. Display a Golden Laughing Buddha to help you keep up the spirits.

SOUTH (5/1)

The auspicious No 1 Victory Star brings light to the afflicted SOUTH. There is good winning luck for competitive situations and good career advancement. Children staying in the SOUTH will also benefit and bring honour to the family.

Place a Bejewelled Windhorse to enhance the auspicious Chi.

However, the clashing element of the two stars brings danger of injuries caused by accidents. If you travel frequently, you might like to display Peacock Feathers in your car or use an Anti-Burglary Sticker on your windscreen, or carry a Nightspot amulet to keep you safe.

If your main door is facing SOUTH, heart disease might hit your family, or problems with the eyes and heat-related illnesses. Place a Garuda Wu Lou to subdue the negative, clashing energy.

The aggressive No 3 Star adds trouble to the SW and residents will argue with each other (and others) without apparent reason. These arguments could turn into vicious fights!

Display a Red Eagle or the new Bejewelled Red Fu Dogs here to counter the bad energy.

The danger of burglary and robbery is still present due to the annual No 7 Star, so those with main doors or bedrooms in the SW still need to be cautious. Place a Blue Rhino or a pair of Fu Dogs in your SW, and/or wear a Dragon Pendant or an Anti-Burglary amulet for protection.

There is also danger of problems related to the stomach. Take down any windchimes and avoid water features here this month.

EAST (8/4)

Although the No 4 is a good star, its wood element harms the earth element of the annual No 8 Wealth Star, having a negative effect on your wealth luck. A Red Tara Lamp can soothe the conflict energy.

Students will excel in their studies and exams and will find it easer to focus when studying. Enhance this good fortune with a figure of the Bejewelled Luohan and keep your Crystal Point close to you when studying, as it will boost your memory.

Couples need to be careful of outside interference though.

Women fall in love easily.

Display a Double Happiness Symbol to strengthen your existing relationship or to boost your romance luck if you are single.

CENTRE (1/6)

This is a Ho Tu combination, which brings great good money luck as well as upward movements in your career. Children staying in the Centre will do very well in their studies and exams.

Place a yang water feature here to enhance this wonderful luck!

If you are looking for a new job, the 3 Great Emperors on Horseback placed in your Centre area will increase your chances. In addition, carry a Jade Emperor Heaven amulet. There are good chances for promotions at work and you will earn recognition for your efforts and commitment.

WEST (3/8)

This is another Ho Tu combination, which brings success in politics as well as good descendants luck. The monthly No 8 Wealth Star promises good money luck.

This can be enhanced with a Wealth Tree or a Mountain of Gold, which will also boost business and income luck. Wearing a Mystic Knot will also bring you good fortune.

To increase your chances to conceive, display an elephant with trunk down in your WEST or in the WEST of your bedroom to enhance your chances of success.

If your main entrance is located in the WEST, keep a light on over night to boost the good luck.

However, there is also danger of injuries to the nose, so please avoid rough sports for the time being.

This Ho Tu combination brings business luck to those staying in the NE or born in the Years of the Ox and Tiger. You can enhance this further with a Wealth Tree or the new 108 Lime Tree. Watch out for fire hazards though as the 4/9 combination also brings danger of fire.

Wear the Longevity (Sau) Symbol to protect yourself from bad influences and display a 9 Dragons Mural.

Students and Writers still flourish thanks to the annual No 4 Star. Anyone preparing for exams will find their studies very productive. Enhance the positive chi with a Crystal Globe or a Bejewelled Luohan.

NORTH (6/2)

The monthly Illness Star brings problems with the kidneys and particularly affects those with bedrooms or main doors in the NORTH. Place a Garuda Wu Lou or display a Medicine Buddha to safeguard your health. Elderly occupants need to be particularly careful.

Having said that, there is excellent mentor luck, which can be enhanced with a Gui Ren Metal Windchime or Fuk Luk Sau who will bring helpful people into your life.

Use this opportunity to make bold moves in your career!

The violent No 7 Star brings danger of robbery and burglary to the NW. Place a yang water feature or a Rhino and Elephant Mountain for protection. Pregnant women should sleep in another bedroom this month and wear the Double Dorje for protection.

You will also notice increased competition at work. Place a Dragon-Snake Nine Rings Sword of Power on your desk or a Dragon Tortoise behind you for support. If there is excessive gossiping or office politics then a fierce looking Rooster on your desk will help.
