7th December 2022 – 5th January 2023
December sees a wonderful turn as the No 1 Victory Star flies into the CENTRE, helping new ideas to become reality. In addition, we have four (!!) Ho Tu combinations plus the Sum of Ten in the WEST, giving us a total of six (!!) sectors with positive energy influences. This really is excellent news as it helps us shift our mindset and look ahead with positivity. December is a great month to kickstart our goals, lay foundations and realise our plans with confidence.
To help with this, spend more time in the lucky sectors SE, EAST, NE, NORTH and CENTRE and follow the advice for enhancement below.
The SOUTH should be avoided because the annual No 9 Star will magnify the monthly No 5 Misfortune Star. Here we need strong cures.
December is also the time to start thinking about your Annual Feng Shui Update and the enhancers and cures you will want to put in place to maximise your good fortune for 2023.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine squares, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each square represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend you take the compass readings as follows:
- Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.
- Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. Obviously, if you continue to work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is also important.
SOUTHEAST (4/9)
The SE continues to enjoy excellent energy. The 4/9 stars form the Ho Tu combination, which brings luck in business and commercial pursuits and can be activated with the Ho Tu Enhancer Mirror.
The monthly No 9 Star also promises long term asset wealth luck, which can be activated with an Asset Wealth Bull placed in the SE.
In addition, the SE continues to be a fabulous location for students, writers and people working in creative professions. To enhance, you can carry or place on your (SE) desk the Dragon Carp amulet or display the “Brush with a View of 3 Mountain Peaks”. This will help with successful exams and creative projects.
People born in the Years of the Dragon and Snake will particularly benefit from these excellent stars.
Couples with bedrooms in the SE will find it easier to conceive this month. If you wish to enhance fertility luck, you can display pomegranates on the bedside table of the female partner or a Bejewelled Fertility Tara.
SOUTH (9/5)
The SOUTH is the most dangerous place to be this month as the monthly No 5 Misfortune Star gets magnified by the annual No 9 Star here. This brings the dangers of illness, relationship problems or financial losses and must therefore be remedied.
People born in the Year of the Horse, with bedrooms in the SOUTH or living in SOUTH-facing homes need to take particular care of their health and well-being. Do not let stress build up as this can cause blood pressure to rocket.
A Sky Roebuck placed in the SOUTH can help to keep your mental and emotional stress under control.
To counter the negative energy, display the new Emerald 5 Element Pagoda in your SOUTH and carry the amulet version – especially if you belong to the group of people mentioned above. You can also add the “Ngan Chee” Happy Buddha here to boost harmony and suppress the negative energy at the same time.
This is definitely an area you want to avoid if you can and keep quiet this month.
SOUTHWEST (2/7)
Illness energy continues to linger in the SW and this month we also see the No 7 Star here, bringing the danger of burglary, betrayal and loss.
However, the stars also form the so-called “Big Wealth Ho Tu”, which is good news! This promises windfall luck and wealth that comes out of the blue.
You can activate the Big Wealth Ho Tu with a Wealth Bull or a Windfall Luck Activator with Dog and Rabbit.
Do not forget about the No 7 Star though. The recommended cures are a figure of the Magnificent Kuan Kung with 5 Flags, the Royal Elephant & Cosmic Rhino pair, or a more discreet Anti-Burglary Lumi Tile, which is particularly suitable for smaller SW spaces. Be mindful and do not trust people too easily.
EAST (3/8)
The No 8 Prosperity Star flies into the EAST, where it forms the “Leadership Ho Tu” with the annual No 3 Star. This is particularly useful for those of you who have their office in the EAST sector but of course everybody can activate this Ho Tu luck.
Recommended enhancers are the Big Money Bull and the Ho Tu Enhancer Mirror placed in the EAST (but not in a bedroom). Those of you who are in a leadership position can also display a Ru Yi here (also called “Wish-fulfilling Scepter of Power”).
Be mindful of the No 3 Star though, as this can cause problems. Calm the energy with Peace Apples or red accessories. You can also hang a Red Facetted Crystal Hanging in your EAST window.
It is better not to over-activate this area and keep it quiet.
Unfortunately, the elements of the two stars clash, which can lead to injuries for young children. It would therefore be better to keep young children away from this area this month. If this is not possible, let them wear the Medicine Buddha Pendant and place a Wu Lou in your EAST room. There is also danger of liver problems.
CENTRE (5/1)
The arrival of the No 1 Victory Star in the CENTRE area is good news for everyone. It is not very strong though, as the No 1 Star belongs to the water element, which gets weakened by the earth element of the sector. Therefore, I highly recommend you activate this if you wish to benefit from its potential.
A Golden Earth Dragon Tassel would be a great activator, or a Wind Horse Lumi Tile.
The No 1 Star will motivate you to get moving on your new ideas and projects. It is a great time to set plans into motion and be brave with your decisions. You can be proactive in the pursuit of your goals!
However, please be aware that the clashing elements of the two stars bring danger of injuries caused by accidents. If you are travelling during December, it would be a good idea to carry a travel protection amulet or a travel protection scarf.
WEST (7/3)
The WEST is the home of the quarrelsome No 3 Star, which brings arguments and misunderstandings. Luckily, it is not very strong this month and can easily be subdued with a Magical Cosmic Apple or some red accessories in this part of your home. A Red Facetted Crystal Hanging in your WEST window will also be effective.
It is best to keep this area quiet and remove any windchimes you might have hung here.
Looking at the positive side – the two stars form the “Sum of Ten”, which brings completion luck. To activate, you can carry a Sum of Ten amulet or place this in your WEST sector.
There might be possible injuries to the skin or nose, so please avoid rough sports this month and watch what you eat.
NORTHEAST (8/4)
The NE remains a thoroughly positive sector this month, with the No 4 Scholastic & Romance Star bringing plenty of opportunities coming to you through your friends or network. People born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger and those staying in the NE will benefit from being socially active; go out and attend events and make an effort to cultivate your contacts. Follow up on promising leads, as they could bring great results.
To activate for new sources of wealth place the Pak Choy symbol in your NE and/or carry the new Pak Choy amulet.
If you are looking for love, enhance the NE with Kurukulle’s Flag or the Romance Comb.
Study luck is also very good in the NE this month.
NORTH (1/6)
The NORTH is one of the most auspicious sectors this month. This is where you want to host (dinner) parties and gatherings!
The monthly No 6 Heaven Star brings helpful people and networking luck, which you can activate with a metal windchime, e. g. the Heavenly Star Windchime, or a Great Magic Tortoise.
In addition, the No 6 and No 1 Stars together form the “Intellectual Ho Tu”, bringing new ideas and creativity to those staying here. This can be activated with the Dragon Horse or a Manjushri Wisdom Stupa.
Students in particular will benefit from the fabulous energy here this month, making the NORTH a great place for them to study or prepare for exams.
NORTHWEST (6/2)
The monthly No 2 Illness Star is causing problems in the NW, especially for the father/patriarch of the family and people born in the Years of the Dog or Boar. The luck of people in leading positions is also afflicted.
To boost power and influence, leaders can place a Wish-Fulfilling Sceptre of Power (Ru Yi) in the NW of their home or office. It would also be a good idea to include your team when making decisions.
To subdue the illness chi, place a metal Wu Lou or the new Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou in your NW and carry the amulet version. Health issues will affect the men more than the ladies this month and bring increased danger of lung problems.
