October brings quarrelsome energies due to the No 3 Star flying into the CENTRE. Conflicts will surface and you might get embroiled in legal problems. Since the No 3 Star flies into the CENTRE, the aggressive chi can spread to all directions and disturbing relationships at every level. There are very likely to be high tensions everywhere – at home, at work, and even in your friendship circles.
Cures are certainly needed in the CENTRE, and also in the SE, SOUTH and WEST sectors. Anyone spending a lot of time in one of these areas ought to take extra precautions concerning their health, safety and finances.
Positive energies brighten up the NE, NORTH and NW and the most auspicious sectors this month are the EAST and SW, enjoying completion luck and excellent wealth luck respectively.
We see a good indication for the Patriarchs and Matriarchs, as the energies in their respective sectors combine well. That means that the bond between (married) couples will remain strong despite the quarrelsomeness of the month. You can boost your loving bond with a pair of Mandarin Ducks or the Happy Marriage Comb displayed in the SW of your bedroom. If you are concerned, you can also carry a Padlock of Love Amulet.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend taking the compass readings as follows:
• Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.
• Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.
SOUTHEAST (1/2)
The No 2 Illness Star weakens the luck of the SE, as it reduces your energy levels and causes health issues. Those spending a lot of time in the SE may feel easily fatigued and stressed and are more prone to accidents and injuries. Chronic illness can also flare up. This will particularly affect people born in the Years of the Dragon or Snake, elderly family members, pregnant ladies and those recovering from illness. It is best to keep this area quiet and avoid spending time there.
As a cure, you can display a pair of 5 Blessings Wu Lou to absorb the negative energy.

SOUTH (6/7)
The luck of the SOUTH is also afflicted, due to the No 7 Burglary & Loss Star bringing increased danger of robbery, theft, financial loss and betrayal. You could get cheated, robbed or backstabbed, especially if you are born in the Year of the Horse, your house faces SOUTH, or your bedroom is located in the SOUTH. Be careful who you trust! Check your security, reduce socializing and generally keep a low profile.

SOUTHWEST (8/9)
The SW is one of the most auspicious sectors this month, enjoying extremely strong wealth luck! The combination of the annual No 8 Wealth Star with the monthly No 9 Star of Current Prosperity promises windfalls, career breakthroughs and new income opportunities and greatly boosts your success potential. I encourage everyone to use this opportunity and activate your SW!
The Matriarchs and people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey will particularly benefit, as well as those of you living in SW-facing homes or staying in SW bedrooms.

It is best to keep this area as quiet as possible for this month. There should be no renovations, knocking or digging, and no loud music either. Just avoid this space if you can.

Luck in the NE improves greatly thanks to the No 6 Heaven Star this month. Mentor and benefactor luck is strong, which can help you achieve your personal goals or advance in your career. Obstacles disappear and success will be easier to achieve. Windfall luck is strong too.
