LONG CORRIDOR: FENG SHUI FIXES

posted in: Blog, Press | 0

You have a long corridor in your house and might be wondering: How does that affect your Feng Shui?

A long corridor means that the chi will accelerate and travel at high speed through the corridor. This is undesirable for two reasons:

  • The chi is too fast and can therefore not settle in your house. The energy may be too restless, and good chi is unable to stay.
  • The chi is too fast and can therefore negatively affect the room(s) at the end of the corridor, as it is too powerful. It’s like someone crashing into the room!

In the case of the photo above, there is a balcony at the front of the house (at the end of the corridor) and the living room with another balcony at the back of the house (from where the photo was taken). This means, if both balcony doors are open at the same time to let the breeze cool down the house, the chi will just rush through the house and not linger at all!

So, what to do?

You want to slow down the chi.

The wooden feature at the ceiling halfway down the corridor helps. The ceiling lamp also helps.

I would suggest to the residents here to hang another lamp at the beginning of the corridor (where the photo was taken) as this is the living room, where the family spends a lot of time together. This will then further slow down the chi AND spread it out in the living room.

MORE WAYS TO SLOW ENERGY IN A LONG CORRIDOR:
  • Hang artwork on the walls.
  • Hang one or more facetted crystals from the ceiling (ideally in front of the room doors) to direct the chi into other areas.

Easy tips with a great impact. I hope you found this helpful.
