8th October – 6th November 2023
October is the most promising month we have had in quite a while. The chart is full of lucky sectors!
The No 9 Power Star moves into the CENTRE, where it strengthens and multiplies the No 4 Peach Blossom Star, benefitting everyone and especially students who are preparing for exams and people in writing professions. Relationship luck is looking very rosy too. Plus, the 4/9 stars coming together forms the Ho Tu Combination that brings profits and commercial success to people in business.
Three more sectors enjoy Ho Tu luck – the SE, SW and EAST. Please read on to find out more about these special types of luck. These opportunities only arise a couple of times a year.
Furthermore, the NE, SOUTH and NW also enjoy auspicious stars this month, which is wonderful. It would be great if you could spend more time in these areas.
Only two sectors are in need of strong protection: NORTH and WEST, which are home to the No 5 Misfortune Star and the No 2 Illness Star respectively. Avoid these areas if you can. If your house faces NORTH or WEST or your bedroom is located here it would be worth reinforcing your protection.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend to take the compass readings as follows:
- Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.
- Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important
SOUTHEAST (3/8)
In the SE, we see the No 8 Wealth Star joining the annual No 3 Star to form the so-called Leadership Ho Tu combination. This brings improved leadership skills to those staying in the SE and benefits people in leading positions. But anyone can activate this luck by displaying the Ho Tu Enhancer Mirror in the SE. If your (home) office is in the SE, you can also place a Ho Tu amulet on your work desk.
In addition, the monthly No 8 Star brings wonderful wealth and prosperity luck, it enhances income and investment prospects, boosts your success and improves relationships. To benefit from this great potential, you can place wealth enhancers in your SE, e.g. a Wealth Tree, a Pak Choy ornament or a Big Money Bull. For smaller SE spaces, you can also use a Sacred Resource Cow amulet or a Big Money Bull amulet.
Don’t forget about the annual No 3 Star though and those of you with main doors or bedrooms in the SE should continue to carry their Trinity of Apples amulet or Red Prosperity Elephant amulet.
SOUTH (8/4)
The energy in the SOUTH offers great romance and networking luck this month thanks to the No 4 Star moving in. If you are looking for a new love, there are high chances for a romantic encounter!
To activate, you can display a Peach Blossom Music Tree or two rose quartz hearts in your SOUTH. Those who are already in a relationship can strengthen their loving bond by placing a pair of Mandarin Ducks or a Happy Marriage Comb here.
Networking luck is also excellent, which will be useful for those planning to advance their position at work and in business. The annual No 8 Wealth Star here can help make your new connections “profitable” by leading to increases in income, net worth and happiness. To activate, you can use the Cardinal Connectivity Activator and Choy San, the God of Wealth, or another wealth symbol. Carrying a Nobleman Star Talisman amulet will also help you meet the right people at networking events.
It is an extremely auspicious month for those of you who are staying in the SOUTH!
SOUTHWEST (1/6)
The SW is another excellent area that I recommend activating. Here, we see the 1/6 Ho Tu combination that boosts intelligence and resourcefulness, which helps you find solutions to problems that seem impossible and enhance your ability to think outside the box. In addition, the monthly No 6 Heaven Star brings divine assistance (which is always wonderful to have!), new opportunities, helpful people and increased windfall luck.
To take advantage of this, you can display a Ho Tu Enhancer, a Jade Emperor Windchime and a Windfall Luck Activator here.
Students and those of you who would like to give their career a boost can also place a Nobleman Star Talisman amulet in their SW to invite a mentor into their life, who will help them reach the next step.
EAST (2/7)
The EAST is one of the afflicted areas, but although you need to take some precautions here, there is also a plus side thanks to the 2/7 stars forming the Big Wealth Ho Tu combination. This can ease cashflow problems, improve your wealth luck and bring chances of financial windfalls.
To activate, you want to place a Ho Tu Enhancer Mirror or a Ho Tu amulet here together with a wealth enhancer.
But you must also protect yourself from the monthly No 7 Robbery & Loss Star by placing an Anti-Burglary Plaque or the Royal Elephant and Cosmic Rhino pair in your EAST. Please take extra precautions if your main entrance or bedroom is located in the EAST and carry an Armoured Rhino & Elephant amulet this month. Alternatively, you can carry a 28 Hums Protection amulet to keep people with bad intentions at bay. In addition, I recommend you carry a Wealth Lock amulet to protect your wealth.
CENTRE (4/9)
As mentioned earlier, the monthly No 9 Star pairs up with the annual No 4 Star in the CENTRE, which is great for everyone, boosting imagination, inventiveness and wisdom. In addition, the 4/9 stars together form the Ho Tu combination that brings business success.
To harness your inner creativity and wisdom, you can display a Manjushri Wisdom Stupa here. If you are in business, whether this is your own or somebody else’s, you can carry a Ho Tu Enhancer amulet to help you make the most of any opportunities coming your way. This is a good time to implement new plans, sign new deals or change your direction.
You also want to activate the No 9 Power Star for growing wealth and prosperity luck with the Nine Rank Badge or the Rising Phoenix displayed in your CENTRE area.
Academic luck is also extremely strong this month, which will benefit students of all ages and those in academic or writing professions. You can place the Brush with View of 3 Peaks in your CENTRE space and carry a Wisdom Pagoda with Scholastic Talisman amulet to help you along.
WEST (6/2)
Residents of WEST-facing homes or bedrooms in the WEST need to be very careful this month, as the No 2 Illness Star flies into the WEST. This warning is also very relevant for those of you born in the Year of the Rooster. You are likely to fall ill easily, or it might take longer to recover from injuries. You might feel more lethargic or fall victim to spiritual disturbances. Stress levels can increase as your work seems more challenging. The bottom line is: do not take your health for granted!
Place a Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou or a plain metal Wu Lou in your WEST sector to cure the illness chi. In addition, I suggest you carry an Anti-Illness Amulet Card when you are out and about for protection.
Keep your WEST as quiet as possible so you don’t aggravate the No 2 Star unnecessarily. Elderly people and anyone who is already suffering from health issues should sleep in a different bedroom this month.
NORTHEAST (7/3)
There is conflict energy in the NE due to the monthly No 3 Star flying in and affecting those who spend a lot of time in the NE as well as people born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger.
To suppress the negative chi, you can add some red accessories in your NE, e.g. a red rug, a red picture, or the Trinity of Apples ornament. In addition, the Ox and Tigers among you ought to carry a Trinity of Apples amulet or a Magical Cosmic Apple amulet this month to help keep them calm and protect them from other people’s anger.
Luckily, we also see the powerful “Sum of Ten” here, promising great completion luck. This is a wonderfully auspicious type of luck that helps you complete your projects successfully and promises good outcomes for things you are working on.
To activate, you can display a Completion Horse in your NE. Those amongst you who live in NE-facing homes, have bedrooms in the NE or are born in the Year of the Ox or Tiger can also carry a Sum of Ten amulet.
NORTH (9/5)
The luck turns drastically in the NORTH, due to the No 5 Misfortune Star pairing up with the annual No 9 Multiplying Star. This brings extreme danger of misfortune, illness, financial losses, conflicts and obstacles. You must keep this area quiet this month and use it as little as possible.
To suppress the negative energy, you can place an Emerald Pagoda in your NORTH. If your main entrance faces NORTH, you also ought to carry an Emerald Pagoda with Om Ah Hum amulet this month.
If you are suffering from ill health or are at high risk of falling ill, it would be best to place a Wu Lou on your bedside table. To protect your good relationships and safeguard your wealth, you can place a Red Prosperity Elephant on your work desk and carry the Wealth Lock amulet.
NORTHWEST (5/1)
The energy improves greatly in the NW, which is excellent news for the patriarch, people in leading positions, and anyone staying in the NW part of the house. Here, the monthly No 1 Victory Star promises upward career movements and business success. It also sharpens your intuition and enhances your analytical skills.
Take advantage of the victorious energies here and display a Wind Horse lumi tile in your NW (but not in a bedroom). In addition, you can carry a Joyous Wind Horse amulet.
If you are in business, you can place a Double Humped Camel in the NW of your office.
Those of you who wish to climb the career ladder can place a Dragon Ru Yi on their desk instead.
It is a good area to spend time in but please remember to keep it quiet, so you don’t aggravate the annual No 5 Misfortune Star by mistake. It is important to continue to carry the Emerald Pagoda amulet.
