September is a very powerful month – a month when it is important to know where the good energies are and harnessing them as much as possible, while keeping the afflicted sectors quiet and avoiding them if possible. This is important because September is a month of doubles, meaning the monthly stars fly into the same sectors as the annual stars, doubling the existing luck. This creates some extremely lucky areas, but the danger spots are much more dangerous too.
Looking at September’s Flying Stars chart below, you will see that the No 1 Victory Star doubles in the CENTRE, which is excellent! The energies of victory and new beginnings are extremely strong and benefit everyone. There is renewed momentum (so do get back to that task or project!) and it will be easier to overcome obstacles that have been blocking your path. This is a great time to move forward, as the double No 1 Stars will help you with career advancement, competitive success and business breakthroughs. Make use of this opportunity!
The EAST, SE, NORTH and NE also enjoy double lucky stars, bringing fabulous wealth, recognition, Heaven luck, helpful people, as well as creativity and romance. These are the areas where you want to spend more time in this month.
On the other hand, the troubled sectors become serious danger zones: The SOUTH is home of TWO No 5 Misfortune Stars, the SW has the double 7 Stars, increasing danger of betrayal and loss, the WEST has the double 3, causing even more arguments, and the NW brings increased illness Chi.
So, please check your annual cures and strengthen them where necessary and concentrate your activities in the auspicious sectors of your home.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
To apply these monthly stars successfully, you need to map out the compass sectors in your home or office. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, I recommend you take two compass readings as follows:
• one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and
• another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.
SOUTHEAST (9/9)
The double 9 Stars make the SE the luckiest sector this month, bringing good news, fame, recognition and exciting opportunities. This is definitely an area to spend more time in, especially if you want to get noticed, move your career or business forward, or looking for support for your ideas.
To activate, you can display a 9 Rod Abacus or the Period 9 Tortoise in your SE (but not in a bedroom or bathroom). Keep this area active and bright, but avoid excessive fire energy, as the two No 9 Stars bring plenty of fire on their own.
Carry a No 9 Twirling Wealth amulet to further boost your good fortune luck wherever you go!
SOUTH (5/5)
The SOUTH is home of TWO No 5 Misfortune Stars, so the danger of encountering obstacles, falling ill or experiencing any type of misfortune is particularly strong.
It is therefore very important to keep this sector as quiet as possible and avoid spending too much time here. Check that your Heart Sutra Pagoda or 5 Element Pagoda is still in good condition and add a second pagoda (can be a smaller one) to help subdue this energy. People living in SOUTH-facing houses and those born in the Year of the Horse should carry a Heart Sutra Pagoda Talisman amulet this month to help keep them safe.
Luckily, there is a silver lining! The two No 5 Stars add up to the “Sum of Ten”, which brings powerful completion luck and helps you complete your projects or tasks successfully.
So, once you have subdued the Misfortune Stars, you can harness the “Sum of Ten” with a Completion Horse.
SOUTHWEST (7/7)
Due to the double No 7 Stars, the danger of burglary, betrayal and money loss are highly increased in the SW this month. There is also additional danger of accidents, mishaps and injuries, so please be careful with your personal safety. Don’t trust others too easily as they might cheat you. Especially the matriarchs of the family ought to take note of this.
For protection, place the Active Rhino & Elephant in your SW. If your bedroom or main entrance is in the SW, strengthen the protection with an Anti-Burglary Plaque and carry a Peacock Feather amulet.
EAST (8/8)
There is excellent wealth luck in the EAST thanks to the double No 8 Stars bringing fabulous prospects for making money, building assets and growing a business. So spend more time in the EAST, especially if you have an important financial decision to make, sales to generate or deals to close.
Remember that the No 8 Star needs activating, and you can do that with a 3-Legged Toad with Giant Pearl or a Water Dragon Faucet placed in your EAST and by carrying a 3-Jewels Prosperity Bat amulet wherever you go, especially in important meetings.
CENTRE (1/1)
Victory and new opportunities are there to grab for everyone this month as the TWO No 1 Victory Stars in the CENTRE bring a welcome boost to your ambitions. This is brilliant to help you with business growth, career advancement and new income opportunities. If you are job hunting, get these applications out!

WEST (3/3)
There is a lot of tension and aggression in the WEST this month due to the double No 3 Stars, so choose your battles carefully. Tempers will flare easily and small disagreements can escalate quickly. Stay calm and don’t let others provoke you.
To help calm the energies, you can place Ksittigarbha’s Fireball & Staff or the “Tai Kat Tai Ley” Apple Enhancer in your WEST. A Happy Smiling Buddha will also spread peaceful vibes. Adding red accessories or soft furnishings, e.g. red cushions on your sofa or red table decorations if the living room or dining room is in your WEST will also help.
Best to keep the noise down and keep this area quiet this month.
NORTHEAST (4/4)
Love and romance vibes are high in the NE this month, along with excellent networking and study luck. The double 4 Stars in the NE make this a great sector for fruitful meetings and great creativity. Students should study in the NE if they can.
To boost your love luck and attract a new soulmate, you can display a Peach Blossom Peony Love Box in your NE and carry a Padlock of Love amulet when you are out and about.
Students of all ages, writers and creatives can harness the luck of the No 4 Star by displaying a Saraswati Mini Plaque and carrying the Saraswati Swan Amulet.
Attention though – please do not have too much water element in your NE, as this could turn romantic attention into unwanted scandals.
NORTH (6/6)
The NORTH is another extremely lucky sector this month with two No 6 Stars bringing windfall luck, opportunities and helpful hands just when you need them. This is also a most useful star to harness for business and career luck, as it can bring support from influential people as well as unexpected financial gains.
To activate for career luck, you can display Ksiddigarbha sitting on a Chi Lin in your NORTH.
To attract financial windfalls and new income streams, you can display a 3-Legged Toad with Giant Pearl instead.
Spend more time here this month and make the most of these fabulous opportunities!
NORTHWEST (2/2)
The NW is plagued by two Illness Stars this month, making occupants more susceptible to illness, low immunity and tiredness. The patriarch and people born in the Years of the Dog and Boar are particularly affected too and should take care of their health and not overwork themselves.
To subdue the illness Chi, you best place a metal Wu Lou or a Sky Bat in your NW this month. If your bedroom is in the NW, you might need the additional protection of a Medicine Buddha or the Long Life Vase with Ling Zhi.
Elderly family members or those who are already suffering from ill health should avoid this sector for the time being.
