8th August – 7th September 2026
There are some good indications this month but protecting your health is paramount, as the No 2 Illness Star flies into the CENTRE of the chart. This can affect your vitality, making everyone more susceptible to reduced energy levels and illness. Being patient and considerate is also important, as people who feel run down tend to be more irritable, making it easy to create misunderstandings. In addition, the elements of the two stars in the CENTRE clash, which disrupts the balance in the home and can easily create tension. Small disagreements could quickly escalate, so it will help to communicate calmly and avoid unnecessary arguments.
August is a month to prioritise rest and protect your wellbeing – both physical and emotional – as well as protecting your close relationships.
There are some very lucky sectors this month, i.e. the SE and EAST, with the SOUTH and SW also benefitting from positive influences.
The most afflicted sector this month is the NW, where the monthly No 3 Quarrelsome Star causes arguments and disagreements at home and at the workplace. The Patriarch is particularly affected. The NORTH needs protection from loss energies while the NE and CENTRE are afflicted by misfortune and illness energy respectively and also suffer from element clashes.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend taking the compass readings as follows:
- Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.
- Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.

SOUTHEAST (9/1)
The SE is one of the luckiest areas this month, as the stars form the powerful “Sum of Ten”, which helps you achieve the successful completion of your projects and brings new opportunities. The No 1 Victory Star gives you an advantage over the competition and can help you in competitive pursuits or sports, business negotiations, job applications, and any situation where you would like to win.
To activate, you can display a Perfect Ten Enhancer in your SE (but not in a bedroom or bathroom) and carry the Trinity of Horses Charm, especially when attending important meetings or job interviews.
This is a sector where you want to spend more time in this month so you can harness its fabulous energy. If you have a door or window here, open it frequently to invite this most auspicious chi into your home.
SOUTH (5/6)
The energy greatly improves in the SOUTH this month thanks to the No 6 Heaven Star flying in, promising wonderful wealth luck in the form of unexpected financial gains and opportunities for windfalls, as well as a helping hand when you need it.
To activate for money luck, you can place a 3-Legged Toad with Giant Pearl in your SOUTH (but not in a bedroom or bathroom). To bring a helpful person into your life, you can carry your Secret Friend Amulet.
However, don’t forget the dangerous annual No 5 Star and check that you have a Heart Sutra Pagoda or a Five Element Pagoda in place to subdue its negative energy.

SOUTHWEST (7/8)
The SW also enjoys wonderful wealth luck this month, as the No 8 Star brings opportunities to grow your wealth and increase your income.
To harness the luck of the No 8 Star you must activate it though, e.g. with a Water Dragon Faucet or Sky Bull displayed in your SW (again, not in a bedroom or bathroom). This will offer excellent opportunities, particularly for the matriarchs (especially the female business owners or entrepreneurs amongst you), people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey and those living in SW-facing houses.
But again, don’t forget about the dangerous annual star here, which is the No 7 Burglary & Loss Star. Please check that your Rhino & Elephant here are still in good condition so they can continue to protect you from financial losses and betrayal.
EAST (8/9)
Another extremely auspicious sector this month is the EAST, where the monthly No 9 Star brings great prosperity luck, fabulous opportunities for wealth and business luck, and generally good news.
To activate, you can place an Azure Dragon with Waves or one or more Dragon Treasure Boxes in this sector and spend as much time as possible here. If this is your dining room, invite friends and/or family over for happy gatherings. In your office, use the EAST for important meetings or networking.
You can further enhance your prosperity luck by carrying a Number 9 Twirling Wealth Amlulet wherever you go!
If you have a door or window in the EAST, open it regularly to allow the wonderful chi to enter.
CENTRE (1/2)
As mentioned earlier, the No 2 Illness Star flies into the CENTRE this month, reducing your energy levels and making you more susceptible to illness.
Pregnant ladies and elderly people best avoid spending too much time in this sector.
To subdue the illness energies, you can display a metal Wu Lou or a Long Life Vase with Ling Zhi in your CENTRE. This is important, as it affects EVERYONE. For this reason, it is also highly recommended that EVERYONE carries a health amulet this month.
If your career has come to a standstill, carry the Trinity of Horses Charm to help you move forward.
Unfortunately, the elements of the two stars clash in the CENTRE this month, which can cause aggravation and disagreements. To help keep your relationships smooth and harmonious, you can carry The Rooster Amulet.

WEST (3/4)
There is academic luck and great creativity in the WEST, making it an excellent sector for students, writers, and people in creative professions.
Love and romance vibes are also strong.
To activate for study luck and boost creativity, you can display a Mini Saraswati Plaque here and carry the Saraswati Swan Amulet.
To boost your love life and protect your current relationship from unwanted interference, you can display a Peach Blossom Peony Love Box in your WEST.
The wood element is very strong here this month, which could lead to misunderstandings. It is therefore important to nurture peace and harmony at home. Displaying a Peace Hanging with Red Tassel can help.
NORTHEAST (4/5)
The monthly No 5 Misfortune Star is very unpleasant and brings various dangers, including financial loss or obstacles. It is best to keep the NE as quiet as possible this month.
The Heart Sutra Pagoda or Five Element Pagoda are the best cures for the No 5 Star. In addition, people born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger ought to carry a Heart Sutra Pagoda Talisman this month for added protection.

NORTH (6/7)
The NORTH is also an afflicted sector this month due to the No 7 Star, which increases the danger of accidents, financial losses or betrayal. Again, you want to keep this area quiet and avoid using sharp objects.
To suppress the No 7 Star, you can display the Active Rhino & Elephant pair here.
People born in the Year of the Rat, the youngest son and those living in NORTH-facing houses should be particularly careful and carry a Peacock Feather Amulet for protection wherever they go this month.
NORTHWEST (2/3)
Quarrelsome energy reigns in the NW this month, causing conflict and misunderstandings. This particularly affects the patriarch and people born in the Years of the Dog or Boar/Pig. This is another sector to avoid if possible and keep quiet.
To suppress the argumentative energies, you can display Ksiddigarbha’s Fireball & Staff. For smaller NW rooms, the Peace Hanging with Red Tassel would also be useful. And do check your Wu Lou to subdue the annual Illness Star.
