FLYING STARS UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2023

4th February 2023 – 5th March 2023

The new Year of the Rabbit 2023 is starting with a lot of good fortune! In this month’s Flying Stars chart we see four (!!) Ho Tu combinations, promising excellent luck in the NORTH, SOUTH, WEST and NE. In addition, the No 8 Prosperity Star flies into the CENTRE, where it joins the No 4 Relationship Star – what a great indication for the New Year!

The fathers and mothers of the family need to be very careful though because their sectors NW and SW are afflicted by misfortune energy brought by the No 5 Stars (annual and monthly). Please make sure you have strong protection in both these sectors so that your New Year can indeed start well!

The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.

Please note that the big numbers have changed too compared to January 2023, as we have now officially entered the new Year of the Rabbit. So the energies overall will be very different!

If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend to take the compass readings as follows:

  • Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.
  • Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.

These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.

Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.

 February 2023 Flying Stars chart

SOUTHEAST (3/7)

If you are staying in the SE of your house then you must take extra care, as the No 7 Star brings the danger of theft, robbery and accidents this month. In addition, we see the annual No 3 Star here, bringing aggressive and quarrelsome energy.

For protection, occupants of the SE as well as people born in the Years of the Dragon or Snake should carry the Royal Elephant & Cosmic Rhino amulet when they are out and about. Avoid dark places and dangerous neighbourhoods.

To subdue the Quarrelsome No 3 Star, you need fire element (but no naked flames) or the Trinity of Apples. Move some of your red accessories to your SE, e.g. a red rug or a red painting.

Keep this area as quiet as possible.

On a positive note, the two stars form the auspicious Sum of Ten, which brings valuable completion luck. If this is what you need, carry a Sum of Ten amulet or place this in your SE.

SOUTH (8/3)

Here we see aggressive energy too due to the monthly No 3 Star flying in. This brings arguments and conflict, disagreements at work, and people around you being generally less cooperative. Remember NOT to get into any arguments, as these could spiral out of control!

To cure the quarrelsomeness, you can display the Red Peace Apple or the new Trinity of Apples in your SOUTH. A Happy Laughing Buddha always helps to ease the tension. Those of you born in the Year of the Horse or staying in the SOUTH room might also like to carry a Red Prosperity Elephant Amulet with Anti-Conflict Talisman.

The annual No 8 Star though brings wealth luck, which you can activate with a Red Prosperity Elephant, a Big Money Bull, or “Ngan Chee” Happy Buddha in Royal Purple.

In addition, the SOUTH is one of the places which is home to a Ho Tu combination this month, i.e. the 8/3 combination bringing leadership luck. This can be activated with the Dragon Horse.

SOUTHWEST (1/5)

The SW enjoys the No 1 Victory Star in 2023, bringing victory and success luck to the matriarchs (yay for all the business ladies and fempreneurs out there!) and people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey.

This month, however, we see danger and disruptive energies here as the No 5 Misfortune Star flies in. This could also cause health problems, in particular stomach issues. Work-life balance is likely to be out of sink and being stressful. Sheep and Monkey and those staying in the SW might find their creativity lacking.

The best cure here is to display the “Ngan Chee” Laughing Buddha to take away all your problems. In addition, place a mini Heart Sutra Pagoda in your SW and those people mentioned above ought to be very careful and carry an Emerald Pagoda Amulet with Om Ah Hum for protection.

Keep this area quiet this month.

EAST (2/6)

The EAST is the home of the No 2 Illness Star this year, bringing illness and bad health, particularly to the digestive system as well as potential complications with the muscles.

Place a Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou in your EAST to safeguard your health. Adding plants will help too.

The monthly No 6 Heaven Star is wonderful though, promising unexpected money luck to those staying here and also people born in the Year of the Rabbit. The No 6 Star also attracts wealth and recognition luck, which is excellent for those who are working towards a promotion.

If you would like to use this opportunity to boost your wealth and career luck (I highly recommend so!) you can place the Windfall Activator in your EAST and carry or place on your desk the Windfall Activator amulet.

If you are in business, place the Dragon Tortoise instead to bring good business growth and expansion.

CENTRE (4/8)

The energy in the CENTRE is always important, as it influences everything else around it, and to have two auspicious stars here to start the new Year of the Rabbit is fabulous.

The annual No 4 Star brings good relationships, love & romance luck, marriage opportunities, and wonderful study luck for students. To activate, you can cleanse your existing study and love enhancers and place them in the CENTRE of your home. Alternatively, you can use the new Brush with a View of 3 Mountain Peaks, Manjushri Wisdom Stupa (both for study luck) or the Marriage Comb or Romance Comb instead.

Wealth luck is strong in 2023 but it will be difficult to access the wealth, so you do want to take the opportunity to activate the monthly No 8 Prosperity Star this month.

Display a Big Money Bull or the Asset Wealth Bull in your CENTRE to activate for money luck.

For good fortune in business and opportunities to open up new sources of income, display the Pak Choy in the CENTRE and the Pak Choy amulet on your desk.

To make the most of the opportunities coming your way, place the 3 Sheep on a Mountain in the CENTRE and the 3 Sheep on a Mountain amulet on your desk.

Most of all, keep this area active and spend some time here.

WEST (6/1)

Heaven luck shines in the WEST this year thanks to the annual No 6 Heaven Star which, together with the monthly No 1 Star really brings wonderful things this February. People with bedroom or office in the WEST, as well as the Rooster, will particularly benefit, but everyone can activate for great career luck, promotion, and new opportunities.

This is an area where you want to spend a lot of time this month. If this is your dining room, spend happy family evenings here and invite friends over for dinner parties!

To activate this wonderful good fortune, you can display the Joyous Wind Horse, a Wind Horse lumi tile or the Magnificent Kuan Kung with 5 Flags in the WEST or on your desk. Alternatively, you can use the Joyous Wind Horse amulet.

The 6/1 Stars also form the Hu Tu combination for superior intelligence, making this a great place for students to study this month. Activate with a Wisdom Pagoda amulet, 2023 Annual Amulet with 5 Stars or the Ho Tu Enhancer amulet.

NORTHEAST (7/2)

Please be careful if your main door or your house faces NE, as you will be in danger due to the No 7 Robbery and Loss Star this year.

Protect your home with the Royal Elephant & Cosmic Rhino pair and carry the amulet when you are out and about, especially if you are born in the Year of the Ox or Tiger.

In addition, the No 2 Star brings illness energy this month, which you must cure, as there is danger to internal organs or serious injury caused by accidents. The best cure is to place a Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou in your NE. If your bedroom is in the NE, or you are born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger, it would be good to place a (smaller) Metal Wu Lou on your bedside table. Men should watch their health and not overstrain themselves. Please also be careful when working with metal objects this month.

Having said that, the 7 and 2 stars together form the Ho Tu combination that brings big wealth, windfall luck and new opportunities! This can be enhanced with the Pak Choy, Big Wealth Bull, Asset Wealth Bull or Choy San, the God of Wealth.

NORTH (9/4)

The NORTH is a VERY promising sector, enjoying the luck of future prosperity thanks to the annual No 9 Star. This is the area to activate if you would like to start building a nest egg for your future.

Suitable enhancers are the 3 Lions on Drums or the 9 Rank Badge Plaque.

In addition, the No 4 Star brings occupants of the NORTH good luck in romance and scholastic pursuits, increased creativity and inspiration; making it a very lucky part of the home, especially for students and people in creative professions.

Here you can use the Romance Comb if you are single and long to meet the love of your life. Study enhancers such as the Wisdom Pagoda amulet or the 2023 Annual Amulet with 5 Stars will also boost creativity.

The 9/4 Stars also form the Ho Tu combination for business and commercial luck, which can be activated with the Dragon Horse. The NORTH sectors of offices would also benefit from the 3 Sheep on a Mountain and the Mega Ru Yi.

NORTHWEST (5/9)

The NW is afflicted by the No 5 Misfortune Star this year, which is not to be taken lightly. In addition, the No 9 Star magnifies the dangers this month! We are talking about serious misfortune that could befall the patriarch and people in leading positions, affecting everyone around them.

The best cure is the Emerald Pagoda placed in the NW. You can also add metal ornaments to further weaken the Misfortune Star.

Keep the area as quiet as possible and don’t have any bright lights here either.

All patriarchs, people in leading positions, people with bedrooms in the NW and people born in the Years of the Dog or Boar should carry an Emerald Pagoda amulet for protection this year – especially this month!
