FLYING STARS UPDATE – JANUARY 2023

posted in: Blog, Flying Stars | 0
6th January 2023 – 3rd February 2023

This is the last of the Monthly Flying Stars Updates of the Tiger Year before the major energy shift of the new Year of the Rabbit comes into effect on 4 February 2023.

Please note that this is the Flying Stars Chart for the month of January 2023, these are NOT the new Flying Stars for the Year of the Rabbit. Although CNY is on 22 January this year, the Annual Flying Stars are final as of 4 February onwards. You CAN update your Feng Shui now for the Year of the Rabbit if you wish, but you have until 4 February to complete your changes.

So, January looks like a very promising month, with many special combinations of stars. We have auspicious Ho Tu Combinations in the SE, SOUTH, SW and NW and the Sum of Ten in the EAST.

However, the Multiplying Star No 9 pairs up with the annual No 5 Misfortune Star in the CENTRE, which dampens everything else. Having these two stars in the CENTRE means we will need to be very cautious. It is possible to achieve success and grasp opportunities, but this may come with some degree of danger.

It is therefore very important to cure the Misfortune Star in the CENTRE and carry the new Emerald Pagoda with Om Ah Hum amulet wherever you go for protection. Only then is it advisable to activate the positive areas.

The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.

To apply these monthly stars successfully, you need to map out the compass sectors in your home or office. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, I recommend you take two compass readings as follows:

  • one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and
  • another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.

These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.

Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.

SOUTHEAST (4/8)

The SE is the luckiest area this month thanks to the No 8 Prosperity Star flying in and attracting money and wealth.

To enhance, you can display the Pak Choy in your SE to bring financial luck and income from multiple sources. There is also a Pak Choy amulet you can carry, and this is particularly recommended for those born in the Years of the Dragon or Snake and people with bedrooms in the SE. Light and sound will also activate this great good energy, so spend more time in your SE if you can!

Those of you who are in academic professions or students studying for exams can display Manjushri’s Buddha Plaque and/or carry a Wisdom Pagoda with Scholastic Talisman amulet to capture this wonderful luck.

Love and romance is also excellent in the SE this month. Those looking for new love can place the Romance Comb in their SE (or in the SE of their bedroom). Use the Sky Rabbit instead if you wish to strengthen your relationships and for your friendships to bring you joy.

SOUTH (9/4)

Here we see the Ho Tu Combination bringing business and commercial luck. Sales and profitability will be improved for buildings and homes that face SOUTH, marketing initiatives will bear fruit and new deals can be made.

To activate business luck, you can display a Dragon Pi Xie in the SOUTH and carry a Ho Tu amulet.

On a personal level, the stars also bring increased love and romance luck, which can be activated with a Romance Comb placed here. Those with bedrooms in the SOUTH will be very attractive to the opposite sex.

Education luck is equally strong, making this an ideal time for students to learn a new skill. For study and exam luck, place a Dragon Carp or a Brush with View of 3 Mountain Peaks in your SOUTH and carry a Dragon Carp amulet.

If you work in a creative profession, new ideas and inspiration will come easily. Productivity will be high and there will be plenty of opportunities to do well.

SOUTHWEST (2/6)

The No 6 Heaven Star brings unexpected windfalls and good news to those staying in the SW, particularly for the matriarchs and people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey. Heaven luck shines on the women this month, giving their career and/or business luck a wonderful boost.

Ladies, activate this fabulous energy with a Rising Golden Dragon placed in your SW and carry a Dragon Heaven Seal amulet!

For unexpected windfalls and bonuses, you can use the Windfall Activator instead. If your work station is located in the SW, you can place a Windfall Luck amulet on your desk when you are not carrying it on your way to and from work.

This is also a perfect time to invite Kuan Yin into your home and place a Kuan Yin plaque in your SW (but not in a bedroom).

Those investing in the stock market may choose to display a Big Money Bull to activate their investment luck and carry the Big Money Bull amulet.

EAST (3/7)

The No 7 Burglary Star flies into the EAST and brings danger of robbery, violence, physical injuries and loss. If your main entrance is located in the EAST, you ought to be particularly careful and keep this part of your home quiet.

Place the Royal Elephant & Cosmic Rhino to protect your home and to calm the clashing elements.

If your main door is in the EAST or facing EAST, you ought to carry the Royal Elephant & Cosmic Rhino amulet or wear a blue Sacred Protection Scarf.

The “Ngan Chee” Happy Buddha will transform the bad energy here into positive energy.

Having said that, the stars also form the very auspicious “Sum of Ten”, bringing completion luck. To activate, carry the Sum of Ten amulet.

CENTRE (5/9)

As mentioned earlier, the monthly No 9 Star multiplies the dangers brought by the annual Misfortune Star, so strong cures are needed in your CENTRE area this month. Please check on your Five Element or Heart Sutra Pagoda and make sure it is still in good condition or invest in a new Emerald Pagoda for the New Year. This year’s pagoda comes in a beautiful shade of green representing the wood element, which will help to suppress the earth element of the No 5 Star.

Because the energy in the CENTRE affects EVERYBODY in the household it is highly recommended that all family members carry an Emerald Pagoda with Om Ah Hum amulet this month.

WEST (7/2)

The WEST is home to the No 2 Illness Star this month, bringing bad health and problems with the lungs. Young children and elderly people are especially vulnerable, while those working too hard will exhaust all their energy.

Having said that, the 7/2 stars also represent the Big Wealth Ho Tu, bringing all sorts of wonderful opportunities your way. But please keep your health in mind as you go chasing these new chances and be aware of exhaustion and burnout. Do not take any unnecessary risks.

The best protector is the Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou, while the Great Magic Tortoise will protect your health and bring wealth and good fortune at the same time.

You can also display the Ho Tu Mirror here to activate for the money luck of the auspicious Ho Tu combination.

Pregnant ladies should avoid staying in the WEST this month, as the stars bring danger of miscarriage.

NORTHEAST (8/3)

The 8/3 Stars in the NE form the Leadership Ho Tu and promise new business opportunities. However, the elements of the two stars clash, bringing obstacles to the wealth luck and causing arguments with business partners and/or vendors. Think before you speak and be mindful not to offend others.

Here, the Red Prosperity Elephant is the best cure. At home or at the office/shop, introduce a red & gold colour scheme for this month to exhaust the aggressive energy of the No 3 Star.

To further suppress the conflict energy, display the Trinity of Apples and place a Big Money Bull to activate the Annual No 8 Wealth Star.

NORTH (1/5)

The monthly Misfortune Star (also known as “Five Yellow”) brings all sorts of misfortune, including health problems related to the kidneys. Elderly people and anyone who is prone to illness or already suffering from bad health should avoid staying in the NORTH this month.

The best cure is the Emerald Pagoda placed in the NORTH.

To safeguard your health, you can add a Healing Herbs & Longevity Wu Lou or a Bejewelled White Tara.

If your office or work desk are located here, you could experience setbacks at work. It may seem difficult to achieve your goals. You need to be patient and keep going until the unhelpful energies pass. Things will look very different next month!

NORTHWEST (6/1)

The 6/1 stars in the NW are most auspicious and also form the Ho Tu Combination bringing superior intelligence. Financial success and victory are in the stars! Recognition for your work can lead to a big promotion. Those running their own business will make good decisions and reach new milestones. This is another most auspicious sector where you want to spend your time in!

You can activate this fabulous energy with “Choy San” God of Wealth or the Windfall Activator placed in your NW (but not in a bedroom). Carry the Windfall Luck amulet.

If your office is in the NW, placing the Magnificent Kuan Kung with 5 Flags here will help you reach your targets. Use a Wind Horse Lumi Tile on your desk as a paperweight to further enhance your success luck.
