The sun truly is shining in August and it is a very lucky month. In addition to the auspicious CENTRE, EAST, WEST, NORTH and NW, we also have four sectors with Ho Tu luck, increasing the lucky sectors to 7 out of 9! This only happens once or twice a year.
The chart is dominated by the No 8 Wealth Star in the CENTRE which, together with the annual No 3 Star, forms the Ho Tu combination that brings strong leadership luck. This will benefit patriarchs, bosses, and anyone in charge. Not to mention the increased wealth luck and investment prospects. The good news is that everyone can benefit from the improved money luck by displaying wealth enhancers in their CENTRE space.
The SOUTH is also lucky, as it enjoys the “Sum of Ten”, bringing completion luck.
The only sectors that need strong remedies are the SW and NE, due to the monthly Misfortune Star in the SW and the Illness Star in the NE. If your bedroom is located in one of these sectors or your home faces SW or NE, I highly recommend you carry protective amulets this month.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, then please use a reliable compass to take the directions. I recommend taking the compass readings as follows:

Take one compass reading from your main door, looking out.

Take another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.
SOUTHEAST (2/7)
Two negatives make a plus! This is what we see in the SE this month, with the No 7 Robbery & Loss Star joining the annual Illness Star. However, together they form the Ho Tu combination that promises great wealth! This will reduce cashflow problems and increase money making opportunities as well as investment luck.
To activate, you can place a Ho Tu Enhancer Mirror in your SE (but not in a bedroom).
To protect against the loss-bringing energies of the No 7 Star, it is also recommended to display a Door Guardians with Ksitigarbha Staff Plaque and a Wealth Lock Coin here.
Those of you with bedroom or main door in the SE should take extra care and protect themselves against betrayal, office politics and theft by carrying a Rooster Coin Purse or displaying a Rooster figure on their desk.
(Married) couples with SE bedrooms could be in danger of third parties interfering; it would be good to protect your relationship with the Double Happiness Vase with Lilies. In addition, both partners can carry a Padlock of Love amulet or keep this on their bedside table.
SOUTH (7/3)
In the SOUTH we can enjoy completion luck brought by the “Sum of Ten” created by the monthly No 3 Star meeting the annual No 7 Star. This will make it easier to finish your ongoing projects successfully.
To activate these auspicious energies, you can display the Teapot with Completion Horse in the SOUTH of your home or office (but not in a bedroom).
In addition, those of you who have their main door facing SOUTH or live in SOUTH bedrooms, would benefit from carrying a Sum-of-Ten amulet.
Despite the positivity, the effects of the quarrelsome No 3 Star might be felt and can cause relationship problems. You can suppress this affliction with fire energy or symbols, like the 3 Harmony Animals or a Peace Hanging placed in this area. Adding a red rug or wall art would also be a good option. Please make an extra effort to remain on good terms with the people around you.
SOUTHWEST (9/5)
Luck in the SW makes a drastic turn as the No 5 Misfortune Star flies in, bringing misfortune of all kinds, illness, financial loss, conflicts and obstacles. It would be best to avoid this part of your home as much as possible.
I highly recommend you suppress the misfortune energy with a White Umbrella Goddess Pagoda. Those of you living in SW-facing homes or SW bedrooms, as well as the matriarchs and people born in the Year of the Sheep or Monkey ought to carry a White Umbrella Goddess amulet this month for extra protection.
If you belong to the group of people mentioned above and you are already suffering from bad health, then I also recommend placing a Wu Lou on your bedside table.
EAST (1/6)
The EAST is one of the luckiest sectors this month, with the No 6 Heaven Star bringing new opportunities, supportive people, mentors and financial windfalls. Together with the annual No 1 Star it creates the Ho Tu that enhances intelligence – a real power bundle! To benefit from this amazing good fortune, spend more time in the EAST and give it your all!
To help manifest this good fortune, you can carry a Heaven Seal Talisman or a Nobleman Gui Ren Talisman amulet, especially people born in the Year of the Rabbit.

CENTRE (3/8)

NORTH (8/4)
