The No 5 Misfortune Star (also known as “Five Yellow Star”) is one of the most feared afflictions brought every year by the flying stars. This can cause all sorts of problems and danger of suffering misfortune, loss, illness or accidents of a serious nature.
In 2024, the No 5 Misfortune Star flies into the WEST.
As the name suggests, this year’s Five Elements Pagoda features the White Umbrella Goddess mantra on the base and the Chinese characters for “bringing peace and protection against harm”. The White Umbrella Goddess is a very powerful female deity who manifests her power with her thousand heads, arms and legs. She is believed to be a powerful protector against supernatural danger and helps to heal illness, dispel spiritual harm, and protect against natural disasters and bad intentions of people, as well as bringing great auspiciousness.
The top of the pagoda unscrews to allow you to fill it with earth from your garden to symbolically lock up the earth element of the No 5 Star. If you do not have your own garden, you can also fill the pagoda with some (faux) crystals or precious stones representing the earth element. It is important to do this.
2024 is a year of transition, where the world’s energies change significantly due to the period change, and there is nothing better than invoking the blessings of the White Umbrella Goddess to help protect you against the dangers of the No 5 Misfortune Star.
