Featuring the iconic national flower of China, a vintage wedding tea flask with the double happiness wording and whimsical elements of nature. “Pink Peony” reflects more feminine hues with a nod to the heritage shophouse, synonymous with Singapore and many parts of Asia. The delicate vintage kite floating up towards the top of the shophouse and the embroidered butterflies dancing across the canvas all add to the playfulness of the design. I’m enjoying exploring my new home in Singapore and discovering its hidden treasures and heritage.

The Louise Hill Connection:
I have been seeing Louise Hill’s artwork on social media and subsequently met her a few times at various fairs and art events. Louise’s artwork is very detailed, bringing together lots of Asian scenes, symbols and images.
I love the feminine energy of this print and the gentle colouring and I am delighted to be able to feature the “Pink Peony” in my collection of “Feng Shui Art”, alongside some of Louise’s other pieces. They make gorgeous Asian accents for your home and I see Feng Shui symbolism in many of Louise’s creations.
